What a great day to bring the community together! Our Texas associates recently collaborated with the Houston Police Department and Target Hunger to distribute food to over 200+ families from northeast and east Houston communities. Target Hunger helps serve thousands of vulnerable households whose residents suffers from food insecurity each month. Through this event, our volunteers packaged fresh produce and assisted with loading food for clients to take home.
In addition to distributing nutritious food, the bank also donated to Target Hunger's Capital Campaign “Rooting for the Future”, a campaign to create a resilient and sustainable infrastructure; connect more people to meals and address root causes; and shorten food lines.
We are proud to play our part to end food insecurity for our Houston neighbors.
