The East West Bank Foundation is proud to donate $100,000 to the YMCA to expand childcare services for families and first responders impacted by the recent fires in Los Angeles County. This funding will support YMCA chapters in Pasadena, West Los Angeles (Collins & Katz Family YMCA), and Glendale, ensuring that families have access to critical childcare resources during this challenging time.
To launch this partnership, our dedicated associate volunteers joined forces with the YMCA of Glendale and the Pasadena-Sierra Madre YMCA for a meaningful day of service, bringing together volunteers to support communities affected by the fires.
At the YMCA of Glendale, a non-perishable food drive united the community in assisting impacted families. Our volunteers worked alongside Assemblymember Jessica Caloza and California Volunteers to collect donations and writing letters of encouragement for firefighters and those who lost their homes.
Meanwhile, at the Pasadena-Sierra Madre YMCA, our volunteers stocked shelves with essential supplies, including food, toiletries, books, and pet food. As impacted families arrived, volunteers stepped in as personal shoppers, helping them find the resources they needed.
The bank remains committed to supporting the YMCA in its ongoing efforts to aid families in need.
