In partnership with Grameen America, whose mission focuses on enabling low-income entrepreneurial women to build businesses, East West Bank supported the opening of the second Houston branch through a $2 million grant that would support the expansion and empowerment for underserved women to access affordable capital and essential financial services.
As a longstanding partner, East West provided catalytic funding to help Grameen America open and launch a location in Los Angeles in 2019. Since then, the bank has helped support Grameen America’s loan portfolio in cities across the U.S. and remains a key partner in co-creating financial and business education workshops delivered directly to the women entrepreneurs in Grameen America’s program.
