In a recent collaboration, our dedicated SCAL associates spent their Saturday morning volunteering at Ronald McDonald House Pasadena, a home-away-from-home for families with critically ill children, offering them a safe and welcoming place to stay close to their loved ones and the medical care they need.
Our SCAL volunteers prepared a nourishing breakfast for more than 15 families staying at the House on a early Saturday morning. The aroma of pancakes, eggs, sausages, and freshly cut fruit filled the kitchen, providing not just a meal, but a moment of comfort and togetherness. Families were able to enjoy a warm, homemade breakfast with their loved ones, easing the stress of their morning routine.
In addition to preparing breakfast, our volunteers assisted with writing heartfelt encouragement cards for the children. These small acts of kindness were meant to bring a little extra hope and joy to families navigating a challenging journey.
This partnership reflects our ongoing commitment to reaching further and making a meaningful difference in the lives of families in need.
