We are delighted to continue our partnership with the Lakers Youth Foundation for the Season of Giving series. These annual events are dedicated to serving our local community starting with the 2024 Thanksgiving Feast and the Turkey Giveaway.
To tip off this year’s Season of Giving, we celebrated with a Thanksgiving Feast at the Lakers UCLA Health Training Center, welcoming over 100 local students from Crete Academy. Crete Academy serves TK-6th underserved children in impoverished communities. Our dedicated volunteers worked alongside Laker players Anthony Davis, Austin Reaves, Dalton Knecht, Max Christie, Bronny James, Cam Reddish, and Gabe Vincent to put on a memorable day for these students. The event featured carnival games, prizes, photo opportunities with Laker players, a shopping experience where students received a new backpack full of goodies, and a delicious Thanksgiving meal catered by Lucille’s BBQ Smokehouse.
In preparation for Thanksgiving, over 300 underprivileged community members lined up at the Salvation Army LA Red Shield Community Center for the Turkey Giveaway to receive turkeys, and all the fixings for the upcoming holiday. Our bank volunteers joined forces alongside Lakers Legends Derek Fisher, A.C. Green, Robert Horry, and the Laker Girls to ensure folks can enjoy a warm meal with their families.
