Tis the Season to Spread Holiday Cheer

DECEMBER 19, 2024

This holiday season, East West Bank associates in Southern California, Texas, and New York came together for the 5th annual Salvation Army Angel Tree program, spreading warmth and joy to the most vulnerable members of our communities. Thanks to their heartfelt generosity, hundreds of toys were donated to brighten the Christmas mornings of children in need.

Team EWB didn’t stop there. In Houston and SoCal, associates went above and beyond by volunteering their time to help distribute gifts and bring smiles to families and seniors alike.

In Houston, associates worked tirelessly to distribute toys, fulfill wish lists, and lend a helping hand to families during this magical season. One of the most touching moments was serving senior citizens. Many associates were moved to tears while assisting seniors in loading gift bags into their cars. The heartfelt gratitude and stories shared by the seniors—expressing how much the program means to them, especially receiving essentials over luxuries—left a lasting impression on everyone involved.

Meanwhile, in Southern California, associates left the comfort of their offices to transform into personal shoppers at the Salvation Army’s “Santa’s Workshop.” With care and enthusiasm, they guided families through various shopping stations filled with stocking stuffers, books, clothing, food, and toys. This thoughtful effort ensured families had everything they needed to make the holiday season truly magical for their children.

Thank you to everyone who participated in this year’s Salvation Army Angel Tree program. Your kindness and dedication exemplify what it means to reach further and make a difference.
